BIOL 3095 Seminar in Scientific Literature
During this seminar I learned principally how is the process to write a review paper and a primary literature paper(IMRAD). I had to prepare seminar reflections, annotated bibliography, a review paper and a presentation of the review paper. The review paper was titled Mitochondrial Dysfunctional Activity and the relationship with Parkinson Disease. These documents can be found in Link 1 and 2.
In this RISE component, we were able to participate in different seminars in order to discussed papers that wrote the speaker(respectively). The RISE group discussed papers with four PhD students. This part was very interesting and helpful because it gave us the opportunity to be in contact with alumni from University of Puerto Rico at Cayey that are studying PhD, in different institutions of the United States of America.
